Braces and tape are training aids, not treatment

We sell braces, straps and kinesiology tape. We are careful about what we say they do, and this page explains why.

What they are

Training aids. A knee strap changes how load is distributed; a lifting belt gives something to brace against; tape gives feedback on position. None of them repairs tissue.

What they are not

They are not medical devices, and nothing we sell is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have pain, swelling or an injury, that is a question for a physiotherapist or a doctor, not for a shop.

Fit matters more than brand

A support that is too tight restricts circulation and gets abandoned in a week. It should be firm enough to stay put through a full range of movement and no tighter. If a limb tingles or goes numb, it is too tight.

Applying kinesiology tape

Clean, dry, hair-free skin. Round the corners so edges do not catch and lift. Apply the anchor ends with no stretch. Remove slowly, in the direction of hair growth, ideally after a shower.
